Newton- Valerie Graham Crabtree, age 77, of Newton passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Frye Regional in Hickory.  She was born in Canada on October 11, 1934.
She retired from teaching in the Carolina Conference of Seventh-day Adventist after many years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Crabtree.
She is survived by one son, Rick Crabtree of Newton and one daughter, Kathy Hadley and her husband Jim of Austell, GA.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 23, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Hickory Seventh-day Adventist Church.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  The interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.  Pastor Marc Swearingen will officiate.
