Christmas

Christmas is a hard time of the year for any family who has lost a loved one. We at E. F. Drum Funeral Home and Cremation Services want to help a litte bit during this time of year. Each year since 2003, we have put up a tree in memory of the loved ones lost during that year and before if the families wished to bring an ornament in.

During this time, we furnish light refreshments and enjoy fellowship with the families we served during the year and the years previously. This is a time for our families to get to know us better and for us to meet the families in a more pleasent atmosphere.

We request that the families bring in an ornament that has the loved one's name and date of death. It can be anything the family wishes to bring that represents the person. Each year, if the family does not come in to rehang the ornament, we hang the ornament for them after that year's program. This is a time for reflection on the funeral home staff's part, as we remember back to the service of that person.
