Rest in peace, Don. Please know that your daughter Ayla is a wonderful part of your legacy -- her kind and generous spirit says a great deal about the parents who raised her.

Don, my longest friendship! You were the first person I met when I moved back to California in 69'. We had a great time growing up together! I will always love you, and cherish the memories we had together. We saw all the greats of our time at the Swing Auditorium. And your mom and my mom used to switch either taking us or picking us up. Wow, what an incredible time in our young life's. And we played football on the same team 2 yrs. In a row. You center and me Middle Guard, you were one tough player and we had so much fun, except the championship game against Ronnie Lott! LOL! He kicked our whole teams butt by himself! I have some great memories of us! Brother, I will always love you! Rest in peace my friend, I know you are sitting up in Heaven enjoying your after life. God Bless You Don! I love you! My condolences to your family and all who loved you and I am sure that was a lot. Everyone who got to know Don loved Don, he was a very kind hearted soul. Bye, my brother!

I was a friend of Don's all through Jr. High and High school, and a few years after that.. there were many years that separated us, tho we hooked back up through FB, and we talked endless hours on the phone. Don had the most inspiring things to say to me, and such a compassionate Heart. He would always remember me on My Bday and all Holidays. he even sent me care Packages when I was ill. He lived for his beautiful Daughter, and he is so Proud of her. I'm so very sorry for your loss.God needed another Angel and I know he is up there and our Good Lord opened his Arms and welcomed him home.
