Sam and I were classmates at West Mecklenburg High School. Shared a lot of laughs together. I recently learned that he was in declining health. While we never want to say goodbye to old friends, we must have faith that it was the right time for Sam. He is finally free of the suffering he has endured for a long time. Farewell old friend. May the Baucom family find peace and understanding.
