Iron Station- John Lewis Charles, age 83, of Iron Station passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014 at his residence.  He was born February 20, 1931 in Big Creek, WVA to the late John Charles and Sarah Rasnake Charles.
He was a veteran of the Korean War and a coal miner.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margarite Earls Charles.
He is survived by five daughters, Sue Neeley of Lincolnton, Lillian Stanley and her husband Walter of Cherryville, Ruth Christian of Talbott, TN, Johnie Mullins and her husband Dave of Lincolnton, and Romona Ledford of Bessmer City, NC, one brother, Elmer Charles of Indiana, one sister Gertrude Kinzer of Indiana, two special children, Debbie Roark and Jerri Ann Wilson, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 1 PM at Grandview Memorial Park in Bluefield, VA.  The family will receive friends Monday, October 6, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM at E. F. Drum Funeral Home.

So sorry for your loss, Uncle John L will always to remembered as the stories he would tell us. He will be missed by so all of us, but heaven is a better place today with him there I can just see him telling the family so many stories up there. love you all sorry that I can't make it down there.
