Greensboro, N. C. …..Evie Elizabeth (“Jip”/”Lib”) Beal Lynch, age 98, of Liberty Road, Greensboro, N.C. passed away peacefully at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro on Friday, December 31st, 2021. She was born April 26th, 1923 in Lincoln County to the late Noah Edward Beal and Susan Shrum Beal. Mrs. Lynch was a much loved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a member of the Rocky Knoll Baptist Church, Greensboro, N.C.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lynch was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, James Earl Lynch, a daughter, Brenda Kay Lynch, 3 brothers, William Edward Beal, Milas Leonard Beal, Darrell Victor Beal, 4 sisters, Mattie Beal Richards, Marie Beal Wilkinson, Joyce Beal Mitchem, and Shirley Beal Sigmon
Mrs. Lynch is survived by her devoted son, Charles Edward “Bud” Lynch of Greensboro and his long-time friend Donna Younts. She is also survived by a loving granddaughter, Christian Amber Lynch and husband Gregory Michael Kinsella of Charlotte, and by 3 sisters, Queeta Beal Harkey, Betty Beal Setzer and husband Ned Setzer of Lincolnton, Linda Beal Chambers and husband Butch Chambers of Mooresville and numerous nieces and nephews.
The body of Mrs. Lynch will lie in state for visitation from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday January 5th at the Goodin-Drum Funeral Home located at 118 S. Carolina Avenue, Maiden, NC 28650. Out of precaution for the covid virus the family will not be present during this time.
A private graveside service memorializing Mrs. Lynch will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday January 6, 2021, at Lawing’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery located at 4637 Lawing’s Chapel Church Road, Maiden, NC. 28650. Rev. Jimmy Jones will officiate at the interment.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rocky Knoll Baptist Church, 501 Kirkland Street, Greensboro, N.C. 27406 or to a Hospice/Palliative Care location of your choice.
