Ida Ledford Ballenger

Zora Ida Ledford Ballenger, 87 of Lincolnton passed away on April 7, 2023 at her residence.  Ida was born on April 29, 1935 to the late J.C. and Lillie Fortenberry Ledford in Lincoln County.  She worked as an accountant and bookkeeper for NAPA Auto Parts.  NAPA was known as Genuine Parts Co. originally.  Ida worked at their Charlotte office for 44 years before she retired.  She was a devoted member of Messiah United Methodist Church.  Ida loved to go to City Lunch to eat any time.  She loved watching the hummingbirds in her flower beds around the house.

Ida is survived by her beloved husband, Harold "Jerry" Ballenger and one son, Alan Duane Ballenger.

The Ballenger family will receive friends on April 12, 2023 from 1 - 2pm at Messiah UMC on Hwy 27 in Vale.  The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm in the sanctuary of Messiah UMC.  Pastor Jim Mathews will be officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Zion Methodist Church Cemetery.
