Isabell Dovie (Byers) Faulkner

Isabell Byers Faulkner, 88 of Lincolnton went home to be with her Lord on Friday July 16, 2021 at the Heath House where she had been a resident for 2 years. The family would like to thank the Heath House staff for the wonderful care and love for Isabell during her time there.

She was born January 14, 1933 in Gaston County to the late Carl Edgar and Sarah Carpenter Byers. Isabell was a member of Highland Drive Free Will Baptist Church for over 60 years. She loved the Lord, her family and her church family. She loved her roommate of over 2 years, Emma Metcalf. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends. Her trademark smile will be missed by everyone who cherished her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Otis C. Faulkner, her brothers; Claude E. Byers, and John E. Byers, sister, Ella Mae Byers Ramsey and a niece Darlene Williams Elmore.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Myra Faulkner Heafner (Larry Biddy) of Gastonia, sisters; Katie Williams (Lester Williams) and Katherine Keever of Lincolnton. Eleven nephews and twelve nieces. A number of great nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Isabell’s life will be held Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Highland Drive Free Will Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM. The service will begin at 12:00 Noon officiated by Rev. Luke Johnson. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Jim Byers, Larry Faulkner, Perry Faulkner, Butch Helms, Alex Monk, and George Tucker.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be given to Highland Drive Free Will Baptist Church, 2810 Highland Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092 or The Landen Story Foundation, 2810 Highland Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092 or online at landensstory.org. (Landen was a special little boy who Isabell loved dearly)
