James Ward Obituary

James Rodney Ward, 57 of Lincolnton, NC, passed away at his residence on June 19, 2021. James was born on September 8, 1963 to the late James Dallas and Evelyn Fay White Ward in Boone County, West Virginia. He worked as a welder in the coal industry for many years. James loved working on his cars and loved going fishing when he had free time. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a host of cherished family members and friends.

James is survived by his wife, Frances K. Ward, two step-grandchildren; Kallista Aldridge, and Chase Aldridge, both of the home, one son, James Richard Ward of Greenview, WV, one grandson, Kaden James Ward of Logan, WV, one brother, Danny Ferrell of Bias Branch, WV, two sisters; Linda Doss of Bias Branch, WV, and Teresa Akers of Lake, WV, and many other cherished relatives and friends.

The family will have a funeral service on Saturday June 26, 2021 at 11:00 am at Powell Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Low Gap, WV. Rev. James Barker will officiate and Bobbie Richmond will be singing. Interment will be at Family Gardens Cemetery in Low Gap, WV.
