Jim Ernest Morrison

     Jim Ernest Morrison, 85 of Lincolnton passed away on December 24, 2023 at Atrium-Lincoln. Jim was born on August 21, 1938 to the late Flay Howard and Ocie Brite Morrison in Cleveland County, NC.  Jim worked for Excel, Inc. of Lincolnton and Queens Laundry Mat until he had to retire.  He was a welding supervisor at Excel in charge of fabricating material handling equipment.  Jim would have continued working if his health would have allowed it. He loved raising Banty Chickens and going to the flea market in his spare time.  Jim enjoyed spending time with his family.  Especially spoiling his grandchildren.
     Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Mabel Sue Rumfelt Morrison, two daughters; Lisa Willis and husband Tommy and Susan Morrison, all of Lincolnton, one sister, Emmy Abernethy of Vale, two grandsons; Jonathan Willis and wife Victoria, and Timothy Shuford, all of Lincolnton, two grandsons; Dalton Willis and Brodie Willis, both of Lincolnton, and many other cherished relatives and friends.
     The Morrison family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:00pm on Friday December 29, 2023 at South River Baptist Church in Lincolnton.  Interment will be at 11:00am Saturday December 30, 2023 at the South River Baptist Church Cemetery.
