Patricia Irene (Knighton) Roy

Patricia Irene Knighton Roy, 78 of Lincolnton passed away peacefully on September 19, 2021 after a brief illness at Atrium Health - Charlotte.  Patricia was born on September 13, 1943 to the late Ivan Leroy and Thema Yvonne Dustin Knighton in Lyndon Vermont.  She was retired from Duke Energy - McGuire Nuclear Station after 26 years of employment.  Patricia worked in numerous capacities from welder to supply manager. 

In additon to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by one son, Everett Roland Roy, Jr. of Shelby, and two brothers; Douglas "Bud" Knighton and Roland "Tink" Knighton.

Patricia is survived by three daughters; Glenda Henderson and husband Al and Jennifer Roy both of Lincolnton, and Sharon Stillwell and husband Frank of Cherryville, one daughter-in-law, Michelle Roy of Shelby, 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and many cherished nieces and nephews and cherished friends.

Celebration of Life services will be held Friday September 24, 2021 at First Wesleyan Church, 115 Bon View Ave., Lincolnton, NC.
