RUBY JUANITA WITHERS CAUDLE
Ruby Juanita Withers Caudle, 85, of McRee Rd.,Lincolnton passed away at Caromont Regional Hospital in Gastonia after a long, hard fought and courageous battle with COVID-19. Ruby went to her heavenly home on Friday, August 7.
A service to celebrate Ruby’s life will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 3:30 PM at Bethel Baptist church where she served as the church Choir Director and Children’s Choir Program Director for many years.
She was born on October 31, 1934 in Lincoln county, the daughter of the late Mary Reinhardt Withers and Milton “Garvin” Levoid Withers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Marshall Levoid Withers, and her nephew, Mark Levoid Withers.
Ruby will be remembered for her sweet, kind nature and for her loving heart. She didn’t know a stranger. In addition to how she cared for her family and others Ruby loved the Lord and loved singing worship hymns with her angelic voice. One of her favorite hymns to sing for others during difficult times was “In The Garden”. God gave her a love for music and the gift of song from a very early age and she used it to bless countless lives over the years. She worked in textiles as a Quality Control Specialist. She was a vital asset in the hosiery and knitware divisions, children’s clothing lines, and fabric industries.
Ruby is survived by her husband, Charles (Chuck) R. Caudle, of Lincolnton. Her Nephew, Gary Withers and wife, Lyndon of Hickory. Great Nephew, David L. Withers, and wife Xylvia of Lincolnton. Great Great Nephew, Noah Withers of Lincolnton, and her caregiver and Niece Gail Robinson and husband Patrick, of Asheville, NC. She is also survived by two stepsons and two step grandchildren, all of CA, as well as numerous special family members, and many cousins and friends. Ruby was also an animal lover and in addition she is survived by her precious fur babies, Pepper and Foxy.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:30 PM Friday, August 14, 2020 at Bethel Baptist Church, 200 Bethel Church Rd., Lincolnton. The service will be held immediately following visitation with Rev. Marty Caudle officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
